Is Starlink a Magic Bullet for Digital Nomads?

By now most nomads have at least heard of Starlink, the satellite internet service that lets you get online from practically anywhere. No more will you be dependent on cell service that may not be available where you want to go, or worse, suddenly disappear from where you’ve set up camp. Is it all it’s cracked up to be? Or is it too good to be true? The definitive answer is, “It depends.”

My latest article for Destination Now Here explores both sides of this. It has some serious advantages over cellular data, mainly availability and connection speed. But it’s also much more expensive, and it doesn’t work so well in places like forests that don’t have a clear view of the sky. I go into detail about all of the ups and downs of Starlink so you can decide whether it’s worth it to you.
