My adventures have been rained out for the past couple of days. I can certainly still drive the van, but I have no desire to in the city, where maneuvering and parking would be hard even if I detached the trailer in Carolyn’s driveway. I managed to pick up my new sunglasses (ironic, considering the weather) yesterday before the rain started, but other than that the bike has stayed in the garage.
I’ve mainly just been relaxing and catching up on work. Actually, one of my gigs just cut my work in half without warning, but another one has given me more without even knowing about the cut, so it’s all working out. I should look for a little more work after New Year’s, but I’m fine right now. No one’s going to be hiring before the new year anyway, so I might as well enjoy not working as much as usual. Today is Carolyn’s last day of work for the year, and we’ll start having adventures together after that, even if we have to take her car instead of our motorcycles.
