Upping My YouTube Game

Adventuring With Amanda both inspires and harasses me to try making my own videos again. Sometimes, I get frustrated with poor results after putting lots of work into a perfect edit. This is not one of those times. In fact, it seems that all of the elements were already there for a significant growth spurt, and all I needed to add was new videos.

It started at the Ironwood Meetup. This makes sense because I met a lot of other nomad YouTubers, swapped info, and followed each other’s channels. It was also fun to camp with a group from Amanda’s meetup but not have any responsibilities whatsoever since this wasn’t our meetup to run.

After the meetup, I needed to get my tires back on the pavement so I wouldn’t get stuck in the soft ground at Ironwood Forest National Monument. I spent a few days doing urban van life, bouncing around Tucson while more rain and wind passed through. I escaped under the cover of darkness to my next camp.

I ended up here, again camping with friends from the previous meetups. This video is all over the place, from an other-worldly sunrise, to visiting the Dwarf Car Museum, to losing everything out of my motorcycle trunk over a big bump. But my life is all over the place, so this is an accurate representation.

I’m no master chef. In fact, I can barely feed myself. But when I do, sometimes I come up with interesting concoctions. This is one of them. If you prefer to read recipes, I plan to add a section to this website for them. Don’t worry, I won’t make you read 50,000 words of my life story before giving you the recipe like so many other websites do.

As I said, this recent flurry of videos has seen some great engagement and growth. I’m only a few subscribers away from the magical 1,000 mark. I don’t usually ask this, but if you like what you see, please consider subscribing, both so you get more of what you enjoy as well as to push me past this milestone. Don’t worry. If you prefer to read about my exploits, I will continue to share them here as well.
