I wrote about the awesomeness of Route 242 before. This past weekend I rode it again with the GoPro running and made a video out of it.
My motorcycle videos haven’t been doing as well, probably because I’m setting myself up as a van life channel. So I tried to shoot and edit this one as a “check out this cool place” type of video, where the motorcycle just happens to be the literal vehicle taking us there. Previous bike videos have been more like “I went for a fun bike ride,” which appeals to people who like motovlogs but not so much outside that group. I like having the motovlog setup available, with the camera and microphone in my helmet so I can shoot and narrate while I ride. But I think from now on I’ll use it more for guided tours than just riding for the sake of riding.
